Yogurt-of-the-Day

Today, I shall do some free advertisement for Meiji Yogurt with nata de coco (fermented coconut juice; anabolic fermentation reaction.. so it's kinda unique.. Ok, let's not go into the science). Anyway, it's DAMN NICE! *LOVES*

Place-of-the-Day

Went to Marsiling to service Valen today! He got cleaned (both interior as well as exterior)! Anyway, slept on pQ's bed while she worked last night! HAHA. Ling Ling was my roomie. Anyway, Marsiling is a BLAST FROM THE PAST. Gosh. The stalls are so... and the shops are so... erm.. 90s? Wah.. And the people are so... as well. I was amazed. Yes, I am lucky, or rather.. blessed. *tug on my heartstrings* Simple old estate but thoroughly enjoyed by me!

After that, met Peng and Jimmy at LK's place for lunch. Thanks a bunch for helping with the goodie bags man. I didn't have to ask and help came! Had dinner with Jan, Pat and my father! At Yio Chu Kang Rd (I chose the place, it's been a while).

Behold the map of the world... on his face...

...-of-the-Day

All dogs go to heaven?

It is believed that the whole family of creation is included in God's plan of salvation (click HERE for a Catholic perspective).

Let us personify the typical dog:

They may disagree but they do not disobey. I asked myself if dogs have the ability to disagree. After thinking through it, I guess they are able to. They may hate taking baths but they head for a bath hesitantly anyway. Catholics too may disagree with the teachings of the church but they should not disobey.

They are simple creatures. They need only a small show of affection to be happy (besides air, water, food and shelter).

They are honest. You can read them easily. If their happy, they'll wag their tails. If they're gloomy, they'll just show it.

They are able to be understanding/empathize. A dog can sense your sorrow/depression or other negative moods and may even try to cheer you up. When you're busy, your dog may know so and just be by your side without requiring any attention from you. No verbal communication but sometimes actions and expressions say more than enough (in the human world, we may get the exact opposite, to our despair).

Like us, they too need comfort and support...

Think about this, how many people in your life are exceedingly happy to see you at every instance?

Dreams as closure.

P.S. I'm not about to start a whole argument with my non-Catholic friends about this article. Don't bother me.

Bags-of-the-Day

Met Soon Leong to lugg goodies bags! DAMN HEAVY. Had to call for reinforcement (LK). Special thanks to LK for loan of space as well as strength, effort and time (he got exam the next day) in carrying the boxes. Damn funny, we kept dropping them. Removed the campus maps from each bag till 11pm. 2 boxes cleared, 4 more to go! Labour intensive but.. fun.

Work-of-the-Day

Worked for Top Notch Sports today! HTNS Affiliated Schools Monthly Shoot. Ok, I'm quite happy that I'm actually working! I didn't work at all in 2007 (except when IA started on 10 Dec)! Today is my 25th job assignment! I used to be motivated to get more jobs/work just so that I get to write them in my diary! Makes me happy when I learn new things in the different jobs! I think I've learned quite a fair bit in the various kinds of work and from the various companies! Used to get paid as low as $4/hour! Well, think one of the most xiong work was the door to door flyer distribution (yes yes, waste paper but it's a sure-can-get job that can be done at ANY time of the day)! Haha. I finally found out how they planned out the HDB estates (at least in Punggol, Seng Kang and Sembawang). It's kinda confusing for a kid like me who hasn't stayed in HDB. Anyway, I would race with myself and time how long I needed to cover each block. I was well equipped with my running shoes and watch (my trustee Timex who has been sitting in a drawer for some time now). At the bottom of each block it was "ker kerisan. sediyah. GO!" (forgive the spelling). A very good workout! Weights (the flyers are darn heavy) and running (using the stairs) up every level! I would take the lift down. And no, I didn't have a car. At best, I used a bicycle! Usually I just ran. That was CRAZY. I calculated that at walking pace one could only hope to make $3/h but running... it's about $6/h. But I quit soon after. CAN DIE ok. Thank God for my fitness level (at least back then). That was fun (upon looking back). Maybe I should do it again some day... just for the kick!

If you turn your back against the light, all you see is the darkness of your shadow. You need only tilt to catch a glimpse of light... And when you finally turn around.... Speechless....

Holiday-of-the-Day

Keep holy the sabbath. I actually experienced its true meaning today (and yesterday too). Not needing to work and actually wanting to head to church. Church is a good break from everything I've been too "busy" with. Well. The sabbath day was in place such that it was a gift from God. A day of rest so much so that you want to attend church for thanksgiving.

Anyway, it's a GOOD Friday indeed. At least I got to sleep in till 9am (yes, that's considered late for me) and I went to bed at 10+pm! Attended mass at Christ the King today!

He died for us. We live for him...

Hmm-of-the-Day

Can't remember what happened as well! Think I just headed home to do work!!!

As much as I crap/complain about being busy, I think I like to be busy. Well, unless there's better entertainment. Many of my friends mugging/pattor-ing! HAHA. Haven't met pQ for like.. I duno how long!!! More than a month?!??!? Oh WELL! I think I rejected her 400 times! Just about that! She messaged me at least twice to ask me what I doing (even though she can't meet me cos she busy)! Well, stop being a possessive KID! We'll meet when I'm less busy (i.e. never). HAHA. K lar. Stalk you someday. So we'll meet when we meet (did I mention I love redundant statements?)

Food-of-the-Day

I LIKE SUNTEC FOOD FAIR!!! Good for my career! Haha. Anything to do with food is. A happie evening after a tiring day at NUS Open House!!!

Dinner-of-the-Day

Went to CGH for to see the doctor again! Took a jab! I like jabs! LOL. I was looking at the fluid level decreasing as it penetrated my skin! This jab took quite a long time! The longest jab I ever took! Ok, I sound quite sicko! FYI, I took a cortisone shot.

Anyway, went to SAFRA to settle some work again and went to eat at Khatib with Poh! We were talking about live shoot and going this weekend or the next and I was so eggcited until I turned and starred at my right limb. HMM. LOL.

Gosh, there's a condition called Trigger Finger!!!

Oh, on washing hands!!! Industry standard???

Me thinks the following is quite funny:
Asha'man: Anywayz, I talk to you later, now gotta go do cell culture liaoz
Ivy:
Why? Your cells *special* ah, can sing and dance issit?

Rain-of-the-Day

Went down to NUS to pass some stuff to people! Anyway, it was raining (it rains everyday now)! I felt quite weird stepping into NUS, taking the shuttle bus and walking around! I feel like I'm a working adult already! Kind of alienated from student life! Ok, kind of motivates me to do further studies not that working ain't fun but studying is cool too! Me gonna mug soon! So happie! Hmm.. Anyway, I was walking around in the rain (slightly heavier than a drizzle) and it was quite shiok! LOL.

After that, I went to HTNS. Saw Cherlyn there and was pleasantly surprised! We all did PT together again. This PT thingy is FUN! Cherlyn: Next time bring yoga mat!! Ouch, tail bone!!! Well, the consolation is that I'm skinny enough to feel my tail bone when I lie on the ground!!!

Buffet-of-the-Day

Met up with my AJ clique (Sandra, SM Queen and MJ) this evening! As usual, we met up over a buffet! We ate at Sakura at Somerset! I was so tired prior to that but the food (or rather the volume of it) made me happier! LOL!!!

In the evening, we attended Soiree 2008! It's a performance by NUS Harmonica! Grace Tan from our class performed! There seemed to be disco lights on the ceiling due to the reflection of light off the harmonicas!! Nice!
