All dogs go to heaven?

It is believed that the whole family of creation is included in God's plan of salvation (click HERE for a Catholic perspective).

Let us personify the typical dog:

They may disagree but they do not disobey. I asked myself if dogs have the ability to disagree. After thinking through it, I guess they are able to. They may hate taking baths but they head for a bath hesitantly anyway. Catholics too may disagree with the teachings of the church but they should not disobey.

They are simple creatures. They need only a small show of affection to be happy (besides air, water, food and shelter).

They are honest. You can read them easily. If their happy, they'll wag their tails. If they're gloomy, they'll just show it.

They are able to be understanding/empathize. A dog can sense your sorrow/depression or other negative moods and may even try to cheer you up. When you're busy, your dog may know so and just be by your side without requiring any attention from you. No verbal communication but sometimes actions and expressions say more than enough (in the human world, we may get the exact opposite, to our despair).

Like us, they too need comfort and support...

Think about this, how many people in your life are exceedingly happy to see you at every instance?

Dreams as closure.

P.S. I'm not about to start a whole argument with my non-Catholic friends about this article. Don't bother me.
