Clothes-of-the-Day

Today, I wore a BLUE and RED big tshirt!!! EEK. Along with airy board shorts. What a baggy day.

Discovery-of-the-Day

Today, I discovered all the places that had book binding services in Science.
The places are:
  • Computer Based Learning Centre (CBLC)
  • Science Co-op ( I seriously did not know)

Administration-of-the-Day

It's the last day of my term break! I've been doing adminitrative matters ever since I finalized my GEK project!
  • Printing
  • Labelling
  • Checking off what I have done
  • Looking at uncompleted tasks
  • Uploading my project
  • Distributing surveys (Please help me do a short survey if you are a student in Singapore - either upper secondary school, JC or tertiary institution. Leave a comment if you can help me!)

Every day should be a productive day. Even if it's a resting day, it shall be a productive resting day.

Competition-of-the-Day

We had National Invitational Shoot today. It was a full competition. Basically, it was NTU invitational shoot.
Participants included:
  • Members of gun clubs
  • University shooters
  • Junior college shooters

I thought I did rather badly because I sighted too long! Need more practice at that.

I got a new personal best!!! I scored 353/400. That is like an average of 8.8! My overall position was 5th.

After that, I spent 7 hours straight just writing my project on robotics. I never left my seat!

Meetings-of-the-Day

At noon, I had CM1161 group project meeting which ended at 1241pm! That's a record timing!
At 4pm, I had CS1105 project meeting.

Work-of-the-Day

I had GEK1511 meeting in the morning. After that, I drove down to the National Library. Driving is so expensive with ERP and exhorbitant parking rates at $1 per half hour.
I did a massive amount of research on robotics. *phew*

Persons-of-the-Day

The first person of the day was Christ. We had a session on the Eucharist. Simply in awe.
I met Andrew in the afternoon. We basically ate, walked around, shopped for Oakleys and talked. I think he decided on DARK GREY, not jet black, and BLACK LENSES, not FIRE. Quite fun to suan him!!! =)
In the evening, I went for AWC training.
At night, we had online meeting for CS1105. Met with Yahti, Weiyi and Hoon Ye. Weiyi is a very creative and funny person! Ahemz. This is going to be a rather interesting group to work with. At midnight, our thoughts become distorted and we go cranky.

Movies-of-the-Day

Sandra and I watched 2 movies today! Sort of a movie marathon. Next time, it will be 3 movies! We watched Walk the Line and Casanova. We ate at Pepper Lunch. Rather interesting.

Movie-of-the-Day

We (Grace, Daniel & Jason Tay and I) watched I Not Stupid Too at Marina Square. What a funny show! Probably because I could understand the Hokkien spoken. So crude and to quote "So cool! So lame!" It's a fantastic local production. As good as Part 1!

Purchase-of-the-Day

In the morning, I helped out with the NUS Biathlon. I went there with Jac from CSS and also with AWC.
My job was to vandalize bodies. I was armed with a thick blue marker and wrote on many boys and girls. Wrote on all 4 limbs.
My next job was to be a marshall to direct biathletes to their appropriate route and distance. Some of them were so tired that they didn't seem to understand me. I even had to run after a guy when he ran the wrong path.
I saw Sandya and Andrew Quek. It's quite exciting to see farmiliar faces in a sea of unknown competitors.
I bought an Osprey laptop bag today. I really went shopping today. Scounted all the shops in Funan and took halk a life-time to select the bag of my choice. The more attractive bags were so expensive. I got so fed-up so I just went ahead and bought an Osprey. Just don't ask me how much I paid. It's the most expensive single thing I have ever bought for myself I think.
I went for mass at Cathedral today. It was a high mass! There were 2 archbishops (Salvatore Pennacchio and Nicholas Chia), knights, sword bearer, banner bearer and the choir of course. They have really cool ceremonial robes!!! The high mass was for The Sovereign Hospitaller Order of St John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes and of Malta. We sang The Lord's Prayer (aka "Our Father") in latin ( PATER NOSTER)! This is the first time I have ever attended a high mass and it was not even intentional! We didn't even know it would be a high mass. I thought it was going to be a regular Sunday mass. I saw Sean Leow from CSS there too.
Pa and I went for dinner at Justin's place. I saw Trinity for the first time. So tiny and peaceful. Lovely kid.

Foods-of-the-Day

Wong Hui, Jieru, Isaac and I went for ACJC Fun-O-Rama. Met Sandya and saw Audrey (actually, she saw me). We kept buying Lime Snowballs from a ex-Cedar gymnast.
Here's what we ate & drank:
  • Snowballs (Lime, Peach and Cola)
  • Marmellows
  • Lasagne
  • Sushi (Crab and Tuna)
  • Konnyaku jelly
  • Fried Mr Potatoes (Corn, Hotdog and Onion)
  • Italian soda (Ribena)
  • Coconuts

We probably ate more than this. By the way, I was accused of flirting with a ACJCian!!! Some young boy from LT2 who was trying hard to convince me to go to his haunted house when he had a long queue line! I was just being nice and joking with him! C'mon, that doesn't count as flirting!

Anyway, I will not go for these haunted house kind of stuff. It's my problem, really. The people who made the haunted house will be very sad and demoralised. I don't laugh at it, ok? I am not so mean. It's because I really won't feel anything. HOWEVER, I can appreciate it if you have done a good job. Congratulations to NUS CAC Camp Fright Night Committee for 2005. Excellent. However, I screwed every station possible (not on purpose, I was a blur sotong. For further detail, ask me). Since only the real thing scares me, I shall not go for haunted houses and disappoint the organizers.

To Audrey Quek if you read this: DID YOU RUN YOUR COMPETITION WITH THAT SCARY FACE?!! New strategy to scare the other competitors away right?
After Fun-O-Rama, Isaac, Wong Hui and I went Cineleisure to watch "Jarhead", which was rather unexciting. Isaac can't hold the popcorn right! He holds it so high, I have to keep pushing it down!!! Mr Chinny purposely trying to piss me off huh? Luckily I am good at adaptation.
In the evening, my family and I went to Bottleneck at Andrews Ave at Sembawang to eat dinner. It was right beside the beach, in full view of the sea. I ate a lot, as usual.
Here's what we ate:
  • Chilli Crab
  • Fried Buns
  • Fried tofu
  • Prawns
  • Steamboat fish soup
  • Mixed vegetables
  • Claypot chicken
  • White rice
  • Fruits

I think there was more food than that, but I can't seem to remember.

At night, I watched Kate and Leopold again!

Rally-of-the-Day

I attended the Catholic Students' Society Rally this evening. I accidentally sat with Music Ministry! That was the only space left when I arrived and I just decided to 'plop' down beside Annette. Theatre Ministry's performance was humourous. Excellent.

"God will make a way, when there seems to be no way..."

I ate at Holland Village with pQ after that.

Test-of-the-Day

I took an organic chemistry test today!!!

Awareness-of-the-Day

This week is Catholic Awareness Week. The booth that Catholic Students' Society (CSS) set up was at Science today. The theme was "He's In Me".

I practically shot a bullseye in a rifle card using a pistol! This was on my 5th attempt. For non-air weapons people, a pistol card is way larger than a rifle card. Like half the size maybe?

Take a look at this:

Date-of-the-Day

The date today is 14/02/2006. Couldn't resist being lame. Apart from the fact that the first thing my father said to me was "Who gave u that?" when I reached home, the rest of the day was a regular school day. He was referring to the rose in my hand (given by 2 committee members).
Anyway, these are some of the gifts I've received, many thanks!!!

Craft-of-the-Day

I prepared Valentine's Day gifts! That is so unlike me! It wasn't exactly a craft. It was mainly using 'Paint' to edit images, print and cut them out. Here's one of the images I made. It's a photo I took of CHIJMES at midnight. The quote is quite cool.

Love is perfected in the fire of God

People-of-the-Day

I went to run (or should I say walk-a-jog) with Susie Leong. pQ waited for us to finish then we went Bishan S11 to eat. Audrey Quek joined us for dinner too. pQ and I were crazy. Insane. Young. Like we hadn't had a care in the world. The feeling was good. Nostalgic. Fun. Lots of laughter. Cherish youth.

Excercise-of-the-Day

In the morning, Science FCG played soccer and netball! It was really tiring.

In the evening, I trained with pQ, Sep, rZ. We trained laughter. I think people thought that we were delinquents. I think people also thought that we were mad. We sat/squatted/stood in front of a construction site (Lamb's old home) and waited for rZ to come home!

We delivered her hamper to her. How many hampers have you received for your birthday? I bet none from your friends. For more ingenius ideas, ask Jaime.

Reunion-of-the-Day

We had FST Department potluck today! We are the 7th batch of FST students. The other batches seemed really close-knitted! Maybe we'll be like that some day soon! I have never seen so much Yu Sheng. The food at the potluck is the best I've ever been to. FST is fun.

Waking-of-the-Day

It's been a while since I woke up early in the morning. Today I woke up at 4.30am and I'm surprised I'm stil awake at this time.
Cell group was great! A lot of use of IT and multimedia and I met a new Catholic friend from India.

Crystals-of-the-Day

I went back to school at 8am today! I read notes till 9am when the chemistry lab opened. I dried my crystals (salicylic acid)! Left it there for a full hour but its mass only diminished by 0.1g!!!

Movie-of-the-Day

pQ and I watched "Fun with Dick & Jane". Rather funny.
Before the movie, pQ was so excited and noisy! Tsk tsk.

Monday, February 06, 2006

Work-of-the-Day

It was a standard working day. Lecture + test + lecture! Add in some work + food in between as well!

Sunday, February 05, 2006

Work-of-the-Day

I spent the whole day at home completing schoolwork and studying for a test! Excellent. I feel accomplished. I like the feeling of ticking off what I have done. This marks that I have stopped procrastinating. Congratulations to myself. Jaime has done work for about 10 hours today.

Saturday, February 04, 2006

Sleep-of-the-Day

I was so tired today that after studying a chapter of CM1161, I decided to sleep on the bench. It was freezing although there was no air-con!

Friday, February 03, 2006

Place-of-the-Day

pQ and I visited Lloyd in his studio at Building & Design! They've got models everywhere, fully air conditioned and a desk for each student!

Movie-of-the-Day

Sandra and I watched Memoirs of a Geisha today! We watched it at West Mall (my 2nd time there and her 1st time there).
I participated in NJC Invitational Shoot this evening.
That's all I have to say. That's all for today.
