I helped out with matriculation for AWC today. I felt like a salesperson. It was fun but tiring to be hyper almost all day long! I met so many people! There were like 3 people who knew me, but I didn't know who they were! That was damn embarassing (especially since one of them was from Cedar Track)!

After that, yq, becca and I watched The Lakehouse at Westmall. The show was not bad and my heart had their low moments especially towards the end. Not a must-watch but it's worth watching.

Work-of-the-Day

I had work today. It's been a while since I last had to talk to kids.

Visit-of-the-Day

I had work today. It was the first time I visited the Singapore Botanic Gardens! I did some art and craft today! I think it's damn fun! We should all do art and craft together!

In the evening, I had dinner with SM at Chomp Chomp! We ate so much for dinner!!! Food satiates me.

My brothers (Justin and Julius) visited us along with Agnes, Horatius and Trinity!

Function-of-the-Day

In the evening, I went as a student helper for the Singapore Institute of Food Science and Technology (SIFST) Annual Dinner. It's its 30th year. My dinner was free as I was on the list of invited guests. The event was held at M Hotel. I sat at table 4 where I was the only student! The food was good and the live band was entertaining. Overall, I had fun!

My attire was smart casual. I wore a sleeveless turtleneck top, pants and sandals. I rarely dress like this. However, I am SHOCKED that SOMEONE could not recognize me until I tapped SOMEONE's shoulders. I think I really look different when I'm not in my usual attire of jeans, tshirt and track shoes.

Homey-of-the-Day

Today I stayed home for the whole day except when I had to return my working tshirt and when I had to go out to buy glue. Talking about buying glue, the stationery shop near my church closed down. I had to drive all the way to Hougang Festival Market just to buy glue! Will someone please open a stationery shop near my home?! We could have home delivery for stationery. It's so irritating to pause doing work just because you ran out of stationery!

All I need to do is run to complete my day.

While I was on the laptop, I suddenly heard the song Can't Fight the Moonlight on the television. I ran out and found that my father was watching the MTV for the song (it's from the Coyote Ugly soundtrack, sung by Leann Rimes). I got a shock! My father is so hip! I asked him why he listened to the song and he said it was because Leann Rimes is a country western singer. Well, on some days, my father is way cooler than me.

Cooking-of-the-Day

I cooked dinner today! Cooking is damn fun! I had a happy dinner! =)

In the morning, Martini (pQ changed her name to this >> Martini How [Martin, ni2, hao3] pQ) and I had breakfast at Burger King. We spent some time window shopping and set off for Macritchie where we had a picnic.

In the evening, we met Ivan and rebeck's. Kangwei came too. We then split off and I tagged along with Ivan and rebeck's.

I met yq and becca. We ate at some Japanese restaurant at Plaza Singapura.

In the evening, I met pQ and we watched Dead and Breakfast. Some parts of the movie were rather funny.

Erdinger (pQ) and Vodka (Jaime) met Bailey (Baillie) at Subway.

At night, we went to Clara's place and started flipping photos of our days in Cedar. As usual, a wave of nostalgia swept over me.

I met Ivan today. We ate at Sizzler and went to Toys'R'Us to shop for presents. He bought me a puppet of RJ (from Over the Hedge). We dropped by beck's place to pass her stuff and we spent the rest of the night drinking at her place with her mum and Venessa!

Work-of-the-Day

I had work today. I felt fully automated.

In the evening, I watched Freedomland and spent the rest of the time slacking.

Movie-of-the-Day

I watched Pirates of the Carribean. It was okay. A great disappointment in comparison to the first episode. The ending was abrupt and shocking.

In the evening, rebeck's and I went to watch Murderball at The Picturehouse at The Cathay! It was like $10 per ticket! The documentary was excellent. Another movie to increase my knowledge about people. We also watched the performances at Ben & Jerry's.

Trip-of-the-Day

We had breakfast in the train towards Singapore. We dropped at Bukit Timah even though we were not supposed to alight there as the train no longer stopped at that station. While they were switching tracks there, we hurried off the train and many people stared at us!

We headed back to school to eat again at YIH. We then went to wash all the equipment we used for the trip. While waitng for the tents and the rest of the stuff to dry, Lijun and I went to run around the track.

Late at night, I met pQ and we went for a midnight picnic at Sembawang Park. She brought beehoon from home and we dropped by a coffeeshop to buy drinks and kaya toast. The road was uneven and the bucket of beehoon tumbled over and dropped in the car! I was overwhelmed with shock at first and then we laughed till kingdom come.

Trip-of-the-Day

We spent the day at the waterfall and sliding from a height of about 2.5 storeys. That was scary.

I caught a fish (10cm long) with my hand. Our guide caught it with a hook but it accidentally dropped back into the water and I retrieved since I was the one who dropped it back in!

We descended to Dabong from Baha Base Camp and had dinner (nasi goreng, pisang goreng and many drinks). We waited for 4 hours for the train's arrival at 11pm. We took the overnight train back to Singapore.

Trip-of-the-Day

Today, we descended Gunung Ayam and climbed up Gunung Stong (1399m) and descended Gunung Stong. It's supposed the be the toughest day of the trip. However, we all felt good. The descend was fun. I was tired due to hunger and I seemed to have less regard for safety so I just whacked and jumped here and there and descended quickly. That was fun.

The summit for Gunung Stong is a very tiny area! Not much of a view. However, we saw a squirrel and it was bigger and fatter than the ones in Singapore.

Trip-of-the-Day

We attempted to watch the sunrise this morning but it was too cloudy. However, it was fun just sitting around the rocks while the water flowed around. That was enough consolation for failing to watch the sunrise.

We trekked up Gunung Ayam (approx. 1500m) by a rather tough route. The route was challenging but I prefer that since it would not be so monotonous and I'd have to find different ways to get through different parts of the trek.

We pitched our tents at the summit and cooked our dinner. At night, it was freezing. It was so cold that I debated if I should just stay up all night to pass the time instead of sleeping. My feet were frozen and I felt like they were on the verge of getting a frostbite.

Trip-of-the-Day

In the morning, we arrived in Dabong. We had breakfast (I ate Mee Goreng) there. After that, we went for caving. Some parts of the caves were difficult to squeeze through (even for me!).

The guide then brought us to eat durians. Shiok! After that, we had lunch at another shop in Dabong.

After lunch, we started on our trek to Baha Base Camp. It's about 450m high. I found the trek slightly tiring even though I think it's supposed to be one of the easier treks in comparison to the other treks on our itinery.

We pitched our tents, cooked and lay on the rocks while staring at the night sky and listening to the sound of the waterfall.

Trip-of-the-Day

We met at 12 noon at Clementi in preparation for our trip to Gunung Stong (stone mountain) and Gunung Ayam (chicken mountain). There were 19 of us (10 gals, 9 guys).

After collecting and distributing our groups stores, we set off for the train station in Johor Bahru. We ate McDonalds at JB. It's much cheaper. Personally, I think the grilled chicken foldover there tastes better than the one in Singapore.

We took the overnight train to a small village, Dabong, in Kelantan.

Lunch-of-the-Day

In the morning, I went to the army market to get some items.

SM & I ate Seoul Garden for lunch today.

I also packed for my trip to Kelantan (Gunung Stong and Gunung Ayam).

Dinner-of-the-Day

In the evening, I went to meet CSS ScienceFCG people to buy Denise's birthday present. After that, we had dinner at Food Republic.

Chatting-of-the-Day

In the evening, Ivan, becca and I went for dinner at Thomson Plaza Burger King. After that, we went to becca's place to watch Singapore Idol and spent the rest of the night chatting with her sister Venessa.

I was amazed that we could chat so much. We should form a chatting club or book a chalet or something.

Outing-of-the-Day

Shena, pQ and I went out today. We watched the movie 'Waiting'. It was a vulgar movie and kept me laughing at certain parts.

After that, Sadaf joined us and left for work. Shena's friend, Andrea joined us too. We slacked at Starbucks and went to walk around. We ate dinner at Far East Plaza.

I got to meet pQ's friend, Janice today. Today, I saw Kerrie, Zhenru, Vickie, Shuming, Jasmin Choo and Kershia.

At night, pQ and I ran around Sembawang for 40min! The run is estimated to be more than 5km! After that, we went to the excercise station!

Match-of-the-Day

I watched the final match of the World Cup in Germany at 2am! Italy was up against France and Italy won by penalty shots!

In the afternoon, I watched some video clips (Ghosts, Miss Swan, etc) over the internet and watched Happy Tree Friends.

Baptism-of-the-Day

In the afternoon, I met Sandra for lunch at Junction 8. After that, we went to watch Brokeback Mountain.

Horatius got baptised at the Cathedral today! After that, I went for a snack (Coffee & Toast) with Justin and we talked quite a bit.

In the evening, Kokwai, Lloyd and I went for dinner at Carl's Jr.

Parade-of-the-Day

In the late morning, I had a trip briefing for my ODAC trip.

In the late afternoon, I went for the National Day Parade (NDP). I love singing National Day songs and the National anthem!!!

Craziness-of-the-Day

I had AWC Matric Committee meeting this afternoon. After that, I had training.

At night, I went to meet pQ! She was totally ignoring me even though she was the one who called me to meet her! After her chinese tv show, we went to The Prata House to have supper. She's a handy-cap now. I had to do everything for her because she took advantage of me. I had to hold/keep her personal belongings (pouch, hp, keys), open the car door for her and cut up the prata into pieces for her! She's a fake, because she was strong enough to tackle me and play rugby with me!

pQ and her ugly (she just cut her hair today) hair:

Below her block, I learnt how to tackle someone (the rugby way) by driving my shoulder into the person's thigh. This was learnt in anticipation of a very special event (*evil smile*)

After that, she went to get her rugby ball and we practised throws and some rugby! I shall learn the sport.

We then went to the large playground at her house (Jelutong Harbour Park). It's a really nice place to hang out and very little people use the place! It has blue lights there too!

Movie-of-the-Day

I watched The Re-cycle today. It was a horror movie but it was rather boring and maybe heartwarming (certain parts of the movie).

For dinner, I ate at Glutton's Bay.

VCDs-of-the-Day

I had work in the earlier part of the day. Later in the night, I had a VCD movie marathon again. I watched the following movies:

- Daredevil
- Monster

Nature-of-the-Day

I had work from 8.30am to 4.45pm today. I didn't have lunch again (unless you count a red bean pau and a breakfast bar at 4.30pm, lunch). After that, I went home and went to run.

I ran from my house to Seletar Reservoir in 12min 30s. I ran for about 30min in total. In my run, I experienced good and bad nature.

Good nature:

• Golden rays of sunlight shining through white fluffy clouds
• Blue skies
• A tree which looks like a fir tree but is in the shape of an umbrella

Bad nature:

• A dead magpie (probably squashed by a vehicle). From the colour of its blood and the level of decompostion, I would say the bird died on this day.

On my way back, I felt that the wind was blowing against me and when I reached my finishing line, I realized the air was still. I was moving against the air. Thus, relative to myself, it was wind. Hmm... In moving, I create resistance (wind) for myself and therefore it gives me challenge. In staying still, I get nowhere.

After my run, I did some weights and crunches. I met pQ and ling ling (pQ's sister) for dinner at Yishun! I ate quite a lot (economical rice, rojak, popiah).

Movie-of-the-Day

yq, becca and I went to KBox this afternoon. In the evening, Ivan joined us and we watched Campus Ghost Stories. It was a boring and low-budget movie.

Freaking pissed with her. It's been a while since I was last pissed with someone. Dammit.

Run-of-the-Day

We (SciFCG) went for Milkrun today. It was a 4km community run and it was hot! My number tag was 8888!

On my way home, I passed by the National Stadium and there were fireworks! The funny part is that I later found out that it was yq who fired them.

Excercise-of-the-Day

I felt rather recovered today. In the afternoon, I went to play soccer for a while and went for a SHORT jog. At night, I had a VCD movie marathon consisting of:

• The Island
