Outing-of-the-Day
Visited the Singapore Philatelic Museum for the first time! Interesting! I used to collect stamps when I was younger so it was pretty fun.
In the evening, we went to Barnacles Restaurant at Rasa Sentosa. The ambience is really good - truly waterfront.
Yet another episode of food poisoning without the poisoning that woke me from my sleep at 1.25am with intense pain, worse than the episode a couple of weeks ago.

Shopping-of-the-Day
Spent a good part of the day window shopping in town. Gosh, it was crowded like a Saturday, probably because most people are on leave on Monday since Tuesday is a public holiday. Furthermore, it's a school holiday on Monday as well!

Voting-of-the-Day
Yay! Got to vote again! Figured around 1am that the Presidential Election results were going to be out anytime soon so I headed to bed.
Anyway, dinner was good! We ate at Olio at Compasspoint. I had seared cod fish!

Hmm-of-the-Day
This is simply amazing. When I hit my peak weight, I was telling myself that I should work out to hit 45kg - my ideal weight, I reckon. 45kg is not only in the healthy range for my height, it's also just heavy enough to donate blood and go bungee jumping. Well, I'm now at my ideal weight and all I did was to sit down and slack while my weight got lost!

Hmm-of-the-Day
Yes, there is a limit on science and the wealth of ever growing knowledge. And I emphasize 'ever growing'. That's because we do not have all the answers as yet.
I've been poring through forums. Many seem to have the same symptoms, and scans and tests don't give a clue. A couple of whom are young (as young as 17 years old) and have led a lifestyle which one perhaps can conclude as 'healthy'. The other worry is that these folks have been having it for extended periods of time - years in fact. Either we're really all suffering from the same unknown ailment or it's a case of mass psychosis.
Such disruption this has caused that one even commented to accept the good and the bad days and adjust to a new lifestyle. This sounds like defeat it's not something we should settle for, for what is the meaning of life if we can no longer give and only receive. I believe we're here for a greater purpose, unless I'm missing something.
If all else fails, I'm going to Portugal to visit The Miraculous Fountain At Fatima. Simply sick and tired of being sick and tired.
Where science has yet to succeed, God will prevail.

Hmm-of-the-Day
In order to have true empathy, one should face the similar trials and challenges. The playing field is never level. No one said life was fair, and it isn't. Some people just need more help or have to work harder to get there.
Understand frailty. Understand the lack of motivation. Sometimes there is a need to understand these and overcome them on a different level than ever before.
Do not despise others in your strength. He may not have the natural abilities as those bestowed upon you. He may not been put through trials to increase his strength.
The greater your gifts, the greater the task that is set before you.

Hmm-of-the-Day
Now, which one causes more agony? Failing to gain something, or losing it?
Unfathomable.
So cradle your head in your hands.. and breathe.. just breathe.

Walk-of-the-Day
Explored the Lorong Halus Wetlands this afternoon!
Highlights:
- There was a swamp.
- There was a fish swimming along the coast at Serangoon Reservoir and it was HUGE!
- There was a dead reptile on the dam.
2 Corinthians 1:5-7
For as we share abundantly in Christ’s sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too. If we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; and if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which you experience when you patiently endure the same sufferings that we suffer. Our hope for you is unshaken, for we know that as you share in our sufferings, you will also share in our comfort.
Truly, I say to you, there is joy in suffering.

Visiting-of-the-Day
- Watched Horrible Bosses but didn't find it too entertaining though.
- Visited my brother at his new home this evening! Nice!
On a separate note, last night was a wreck. I can describe it as:
- Insomnia without the insomnia
- Food poisoning without the poisoning
Well, at least I got to catch up on some reading! And you wouldn't believe this. Guess who's the patron saint for abdominal pains.
It's St Elmo!!! (",) If you don't believe me, you may google or check it out here. The reason why he's befitting of the title is the way he was martyred. He was tortured by having his stomach slit open and his intestines were wound around a windlass. They then beheaded him.

Hmm-of-the-Day
I start my 6 month sabbatical today. It's the first time in years since I got to sleep in (I wake up by 8am on Saturdays and Sundays). I woke up naturally at 8.45am. Oh well, I'm an early riser.
