Had a family dinner at the airport for Jan & Pat's farewell! 1 year is a seemingly long time!

Well, it's the standard Chinese New Year Day 1 routine, just that we had a little bit of extra time in the afternoon. The only shop that was open and of interest was H&M.

Reunion-of-the-Day

We had our Chinese New Year Reunion Dinner at San Katong Laksa Steamboat. I like this place as there are no "dinner shifts" in the sense that you can book anytime and leave at anytime (as long as it's within the opening hours of course). Most places require you to leave by a certain time, what a rush!

The proper celebration for HY's birthday! The venue and theme was a surprise (hehe).

Hung out with HY & friends this evening. Had dinner then headed down to McDonald's for a surprise birthday party for a friend of his!

Finally completed the project (HY's Anniversary present) with a total 4 minor injuries.

Our proper anniversary celebration:

1. Titanic Exhibition at MBS - it's interesting that they re-created the look and even the smell of the Titanic, but all in all, I wasn't too impressed.
2. Cartier Exhibition at MBS - Wow. I thought I'd be bored but this is the best exhibition that I've ever been too. Got me talking for days. Wow. It's the history and innovation of fine watchmaking. Kudos to watchmakers, they deserve to be paid a good sum.
3. Japanese a la carte buffet dinner at Ikoi, Miramar Hotel - enjoyed myself pretty much!

It's amusing when a stranger tells you about his (not so smooth) marriage life and also get tuned in to an argument with his spouse. Awkward.

Since it's our 3rd Anniversary, we went for a good dinner at the Punggol Waterway, Cafe Frenzie Bistro & Bar. It's the first time we've been there. The ambience is great!

Savannah cats are huge domestic cats! They're a cross between the tame and the wild! Cool stuff!

Celebrated Jan's birthday this evening at Skyve! The food was excellent! I had Duck Confit cooked by the sous vide method. It's the best duck I've ever eaten, no kidding!

Watched Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows this evening! I prefer Part I though, it had a more complex plot! Nevertheless, it was still a great movie and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Went to Loof later in the evening. It's been a while since I stayed out so late!

Watching episodes of 'I Survived' and 'I Shouldn't be Alive' really amazes me. For some folks, it's really just not time yet!

Cooked dinner today for the sole purpose of eating the goat's cheese we bought as dessert!

Day 3

It was a relaxing day at the Kota Tinggi Waterfall! The water was really cold and the bigger fish kept nibbling at HY!

When we got back to Singapore, we caught Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol!

Day 2

Spent the day dirt biking! That was one long ride and some parts of the trail were pretty tough, at least for me. It's different from road riding and learnt a lot about riding today! It was good fun and we had a scenic view from the top of the mountains we were on!

We tried out the fast food at the famous Marry Brown. The chicken was really good - succulent! Moreover, they had swings as seats!
