Hmm-of-the-Day

Dreams are the weirdest things. I had a dream that felt so real while I was in it and yet so out of this world that it wouldn't happen in real life, only in the deepest recesses of my mind. Then I was trying to recall all my thoughts before I fell asleep last and realized how those thoughts mish-mashed into an unfathomable dream.

Realized that this is probably the least obligatory period in my life. I get to really choose how to spend my time. Even during the break after "A" Levels, I had to work part-time. The rhythm of life has come to such a slow that I'm anxious to speed it up, lest I forget how to.

Watched The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part I this evening. I think I'm not in the intended target group!

Got jabbed three times today - typhoid, tetanus and flu.

Not that I know how to climb. Heh.

Headed to Dairy Farm Nature Park to do some trail cycling (and I mean "some"). Need more practice and a better bike, but not today. 

Attended the NUS Science Alumni Specials this evening. Basically a dinner. Was good to catch with with profs and FST folks.

Read my second novel of the Fantasy genre. I didn't think I would like the genre but I got hooked! Love the medieval ages, magic and all that.

Had a steamboat dinner at Telok Blangah with my family. This is one of the few places which isn't crowded on a Saturday night.

I could have sworn that the muscles I built up these last 2 months have disappeared. It's all soft now. Hmm. Oh well.

Met a nice taxi uncle today who gave me a discount on my cab fare! When I insisted to pay the full amount, he said he was "doing this just to pass time". It's quite interesting that he seems to like to pick people up from CGH.

Well, anyway, I lost a little more weight leaving me at 43.5kg! Haven't been this light since 7 years ago! Yay!

I think if I went out today, I'd scare quite a few people, especially in my zombie-like state after sedation. Unfortunately it ain't the 7th month nor Halloween, I may have well blended in.

They inserted a tube up my nose and down my oesophagus, hanging just at the tip of the stomach. Damn, it's uncomfortable and it's got to be on for 24H.

Let me share the scare... Hehehe.

It's CK's wedding part II! Fun wedding! It's especially fun when a close friend gets married, especially during "yam sengs". And no, I didn't have to drink to get high - just good old plain water.

In the evening, had a dinner family gathering!

Met a colleague for breakfast. Spent the rest of the day resting!

Earlier in the day, two mynas landed on my window (and one took a dump). 

Later on, we saw a myna on a car in a twisted manner and I thought it was about to die. Then I looked to the ground and saw another myna in the same pose. Then I thought they had a disease and were both dying!

As we stared, they go shy, and we realized they were just sunbathing. Weird birds!
