Play-of-the-Day

Huixin and I had dinner at Soup it Up at the Hospital for Sick Children. I ordered some chili soup which was not spicy but tasted great anyway! I would call it more of a sauce than a soup.

After that, we proceeded to Philosopher's Walk for a Shakespeare play entitled "Much Ado About Nothing" which was a hilarious romantic play. Shakespeare is incredulous in his insults. Witty witty! Anyway, it was BYOB (Bring Your Own Blanket) and people brought blankets, picnic baskets and even wine!!! It was packed! It was a lovely evening watching a play at the outdoor stage under the open sky. The grass IS greener here. An interactive play with cooling weather. The atmosphere was simply relaxing. I could ALMOST forget the world. This is how the arts scene in Singapore should be. Suddenly I feel all excited about getting to those movie screenings and other events at Fort Canning Park. Perhaps I should bring a blanket, wine and a picnic basket too (mind you, they even brought wine glasses.. no joke). Let's bring back a piece of this culture. (",)
