Island-of-the-Day

Started the day with a gym workout! It's a little scary to work out alone in a gym so early in the morning but oh well. My muscles are stronger! Been excercising every morning ever since I got to Toronto.

We went to church at UOT today! I got my first drop of alcohol today! It's from communion. We drank from the cup. Wow. In Singapore, we usually only eat the bread unless there's some occasion. The people here sing the hymns so loudly. At the end of the mass, they sang 'Oh Canada!' since it's Canada Day!!!

We spent out time at Toronto Islands - Centre Island. Took the ferry out! The stuff to see there is great. I love nature. The beach is the only clothing optional beach in Toronto but everyone had clothes on. We did some cycling as well. There's was a maze, a farm, canoeing races, swans, geese and ducks! Many many ducks! If there's water, there's ducks! Oh man, the grass here is DAMN nice. SERIOUSLY NICE GRASS. Now, this is the grass I would like to buy!

After that, we went to Queens St West, Chinatown and Kensington Market! Queens St West and Kensington Market was kind of closed but the stuff there's good! Need to go there again to shop! In Toronto, Chinatown is probably the place to get the cheapest stuff! I got some utensils and a microwaveable container there. Bought some groceries from Kitchen Table and a mart from Chinatown today. The fruits are cheap and good! A crate of strawberries is C$0.99. Raspberries are also going at C$0.99 per box. Blueberries are cheap too. I'd better eat more over here. Izzati and I shared some plums - 10 for C$1. It's damn sweet and juicy >>> NICE.
