More on beer!

Why is the colour of the beer head white when beer is golden brown?!

Well, it's due to the way that light travels through the beer head. The foam is composed of many bubbles in close proximity and each bubble is a pocket of gas (the bubbles ain't air.. they form due to lower vapour pressure as compared with the surrounding parts of the beer) surrounded by a thin layer of beer. Light is scattered, reflected and refracted in various directions as it travels through the mass of bubbles. Light that exits the foam and enters your eyes is a mix of all different wavelengths and therefore appears white.
